GREYHOUNDS OF THE VERDE VALLEY, INC.

Adoption Pending Jack was quite the racer (with a terrible racing name), but now he is waiting patiently for a new forever home. Jack doesn't like the noise and crowds at adoption events, but he is a wonderful dog at home. He is well mannered and a fast learner and just turned 4 yrs old (born 8/1/2007)and would prefer a home without cats. Won't you give this guy a place to rest his weary head?
Gable Lacy is a darling, petite brindle girl who isn't too happy in a condo with no place to play. She is friendly and outgoing and a real charmer, but her Mom took a new job with longer hours and doesn't have time to exercise Lacy. She is 2 1/2 yrs old and wants a loving home.
Clever My Man is a three and a half year old very handsome white and light fawn boy who had little interest in racing. Retirement is surely his game. What a fun boy. He won't be living with cats, small animals or non-greyhound breeds of dog in his forever home. My Man is being fostered in the Phoenix area.
Mulberry Tiki is a beautiful tiny girl who will turn 2 this month. She is black with a white chin and blaze, white on her feet and tip of her nose and tail. Copper, (racing as TNJ Cool Whip), is one handsome 2-year-old guy (born 1/3/2010) with a dark red coat and black mask. After 10 races, Copper has just come off the track and is quickly learning that retirement is fun. He is intelligent, affectionate and quiet. Copper is still quite wary of men, but is accepting food and treats from his foster dad after only 2 days. He is eager to please, very sweet and really enjoys one-to-one closeness with other greyhounds in his foster home in the Phoenix area. He will do very well in a home with another dog or dogs.

Zoey is being fostered in the Phoenix area. She gets along wonderfully with the greyhounds in her foster home, but cannot live with cats or small animals.

Greyhounds are known as a fast racing dogs. They are sighthounds and are very eager to "chase" many objects they see when out for a walk. Don't let this concern you, as they will walk very nicely beside you and enjoy being your companion on the walk. These very social dogs enjoy being near you and accompanying you in your daily tasks. What do they do when not outside walking or playing in the yard? They LOVE to adorn your home on a dog bed, sofa, bed, or wherever you allow your greyhound.
